The 2026 Badge & Patch Show:

A Strong Showing of Community, Craft, and Collaboration
Milwaukee Police Academy – May 9, 2026

The 2026 Badge & Patch Show at the Milwaukee Police Academy delivered exactly what collectors and law‑enforcement enthusiasts hope for: a vibrant, well‑run event filled with camaraderie, history, and the unmistakable energy of a passionate community.

This year’s show featured 40 vendor tables, each offering a unique window into the world of police insignia. From vintage badges to modern patches, challenge coins, and specialty memorabilia, attendees had plenty to explore. The event drew approximately 50 participants, creating a comfortable, engaging environment where conversations flowed easily and collectors could take their time discovering new pieces.

What made this year stand out was the geographic reach of its participants. Collectors and vendors traveled from Wisconsin, Illinois, New Jersey, Oregon, and Michigan, underscoring the show’s growing reputation as a must‑attend gathering for enthusiasts across the country. Their presence added a dynamic mix of perspectives, stories, and rare items not often seen in the Midwest.

The show was widely regarded as a resounding success, thanks in large part to the teamwork behind the scenes. Organizers extended sincere appreciation to the Milwaukee PD District 4 Auxiliaries and MPHS members, whose steady support throughout the day ensured smooth operations and a welcoming atmosphere. Their efforts helped keep the event running seamlessly from start to finish.

Thank you to our sponsor, Police Collectors News, and Editor/Publisher Mike Bondarenko. Mike provided support, encouragement, and expertise in the planning of this show.  We are truly grateful for his help.

A special thank‑you also go to the police recruit class, whose enthusiasm and hard work were instrumental in setting up the venue. From arranging tables to assisting with logistics, their contributions helped create a polished, professional environment that vendors and attendees alike appreciated.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was the presentation of a Life Achievement Award to the family of the late Frederick G. Haas. Haas was widely respected for his many years of dedication to the hobby of police insignia collecting, and his influence continues to shape the community he cared so deeply about. The award served as a touching tribute to his legacy and a reminder of the passion and commitment that bind collectors together.

Beyond the collectibles, the 2026 Badge & Patch Show highlighted something even more meaningful: the strength of the law‑enforcement community and the connections that bring people together across states and generations. With positive feedback from participants and strong interest in future events, this year’s show stands as a proud milestone for Milwaukee’s collector community.
