Fallen But Not Forgotten Campaign
The Milwaukee Police Historical Society is committed to honoring the memory of the 64 officers that have made the ultimate sacrifice during the 134 years of the Milwaukee Police Department history. Sadly, the list of fallen officers in the department has outgrown the available space on the existing memorial at the Milwaukee Safety Academy, 6680 N. Teutonia Avenue. The current memorial was created under the direction of The Blue Coats Foundation, an organization that supports families of fallen officers. Officer James Pozorski fabricated the display in 1983 and it was later renovated in 1989 by the Milwaukee Police Athletic Association. Since then, the Milwaukee Police Historical Society has maintained the memorial in cooperation with The Blue Coats Foundation.
